These hot stones are placed on various parts of the body and then used to deliver a relaxing, therapeutic or even a deep tissue massage.
Hot stone massage exchanges heat with the muscles, which penetrates deep into the tissues, providing a deeper relaxation for tense and aching muscles.
Sometimes, however, cold stones can be used together with hot stones, the cooler temperature of the cold stones helps soothe the skin, improves recovery and reduces inflammation and swelling.
